Cornbread Mix
Our Cornbread Mix is easy-to-make and delivers a moist, slightly sweet, and tender-crumbed Southern-style cornbread in under 30 minutes. Perfectly golden, it acts as a versatile side for chili, soups, or BBQ. Simply add milk, eggs, and butter to create homemade-quality cornbread, muffins, or skillet bread with no artificial colors.
You will need:
1 packet Cornbread mix
1 Egg
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 stick Butter or margarine, melted
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; stir until blended and smooth. Pour into a greased, 8" square or round baking pan. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
For a spicier cornbread: add 1-4oz can undrained chopped green chilies to batter and bake as instructed above.
High-altitude instructions: Add 1/4 cup flour and increase baking time.
Contains: Enriched bleached wheat flour (niacin, iron (reduced), thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, malted barley flour), sugar, enriched cornmeal (yellow cornmeal, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), baking powder (cornstarch, bicarbonate of soda, sodium aluminum sulfate, acid phosphate of calcium), and salt.
