  In Pawhuska, we have so many interesting events that take place right in front of our store. this weekend it just happens to be the World Famous Indian Taco Championship. This event brings hundred of spectators to beautiful down town Pawhuska. This unique event has won two awards this past year: The Red Dirt Report's Best Food Festival and 2016, 2017, and 2018 Merit Award for Outstanding Event given by the Oklahoma Conference on Tourism Red Bud Award.

  The 16th annual National Indian Taco Championship will take place Oct. 6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in downtown Pawhuska.  With the event comes aroma of freshly cooked Indian tacos, interesting vendors and traders, competitions, music, American Indian dancing, and a variety of entertainment. Organizers are hoping new vendors and competitions will mean huge crowds at this admission-free event in downtown Pawhuska, according to Joni Nash of the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce.

  If you love fry bread and Indian tacos, then you'll love Pawhuska's annual National Indian Taco Championship. Come hungry and be prepared to taste the best traditional tacos around. In addition to the tacos, visitors to this annual championship will also enjoy local bands, Native American dance demonstrations and craft vendor booths. There is always something for the kids from inflatables to children's games, so bring the whole family and enjoy a beautiful day in Pawhuska.
